I don't understand how you can get the---
2012--- from the grower if they (Virgil
Gamache Farms) don't release the 2012 Amarillo until
December 2012? How is
this possible if all the Amarillo which is trademarked, privately owned and
only comes from one place, Virgil Gamache Farms? Further, all Amarillo is
released by contracts only. If someone told you they are giving it to you
by Sept 2012, either it is not 2012 or they are mistaken. I have doubled
checked the growers website and it says December 2012 realease from
Washington State. I have also confirmed this with all three of my European
suppliers.
If I am wrong, please, supply me with details.
More information about the Amarillo contract is here, without a contract
you don't get Amarillo hops.

None the less, I don't think these two big companies above would risk a
lawsuit from folks who have contracts for Amarillo and then release them
earlier to other folks.
For me something does not sound right here.
